What is small wind?
Small wind refers to wind turbines that are fitted with electrical generators, which have the potential to generate energy for homes, farms and small businesses.
Turbines in the "Small Wind" category are rated in size from 1kW to 100kW, and can accommodate the energy needs from that of a small cabin up to 25-30 residential homes.
The goal of New Roots Energy is to supply the small wind industry with highly trained individuals who have a comprehensive understanding of available technologies, site assessment theory, financial modeling, installation, operation and maintenance.
